Administrative Director - Alisa Zitofsky
Alisa has a Bachelor of Arts in Home Economics and a Master of Science in Education with over 75 credits above her masters. Alisa has over 35 years of teaching experience with school age children, as well as being part of the Wee Friends family for almost 45 years. She has worked in and directed camp for close to 40 years. She has been responsible for programming, scheduling, creative events, themed weeks, and all of the fabulous events that make day camp so exciting. Themed weeks have included fantasy trips to far-away places for jungle safaris, wild rodeos, underwater adventures, winter wonderlands, carnivals, circuses, color-war, and much more.
As Administrative Director, Alisa shares her expertise to work with all programs, campers, parents, staff, and specialists. She ensures that Camp Iconic is a safe and happy place to be, where children are always encouraged to excel at whatever they enjoy most. She makes sure that everyone leaves each day feeling accomplished and good about themselves. She ensures that Camp Iconic is a safe and fun place for all. She especially enjoys working with the fabulous staff at Camp Iconic. Alisa absolutely loves being part of Camp Iconic since it opened in 2013! It is her home away form home!
Alisa is the proud grandmother of 15 and 18 1/2 year old girls and 8 1/2 year old boy/girl twins. The younger ones have attended Wee Friends & Camp Iconic for many summers since they were infants. She loves doing all kinds of arts & crafts, baking and outdoor activities with her grandchildren. She especially enjoys traveling with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Alisa truly loves and enjoys working with everyone at Camp Iconic!
Jason is certified in Physical Education and has been teaching Physical Education within the New York City Board of Education for the past twenty years. He has taught children in the Elementary and Secondary Levels. Not only does he teach children sports, but teaches all the children about respect, cooperation and how to be a better person. Jason was the Head Counselor at a sleep away camp in upstate New York for seventeen years before returning to day camp. Working with children non-stop for these past years has given Jason the experience and the tools needed to coordinate and manage progras and activities at Camp Iconic.
Organizing and programming daily activities is something that Jason has always enjoyed doing. Being responsible when needed, Jason can be that fun, silly and outgoing leader that every camp should have.
Jason has dedicated his summers in the past to create the most fun, exciting, enjoyable, pleasurable and safe experience for all the children around him. He brings enthusiasm and passion to Camp Iconic every day.
His expertise has allowed Camp Iconic to evolve into high levels within all activities.
Jason has many interests outside of work which include snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, camping and traveling just to name a few.
Jason and his wife Laura are raising their 9 1/2 year old son Jake who attends Camp Iconic. They enjoy traveling and the outdoors together enjoying what life has to offer.
